i am so tired!

I have started my first full week of school and work! I am exhausted! I am one lazy lady! It doesnt help that I am pmsing. I know its an excuse... but hey, it is true!

I am doind a few projects outside of my school duties. One Project is a show called Marisol. It is a crazy/beautiful extremely postmodern mess! I am super excited to do something outside of the box.

Chris just bought me the newest expansion for The Sims 2~ I am pretty excited to have an AWESOME distraction!

Wedding plans are going smoothly. The dress came in! Whoo HOO! I love it because it is NOT lacy or beaded!

That is all... I am too tired to write anymore!

Nap time and Growing up.

After my nap this afternoon, I tuned into an episode of Dawsons Creek. Oh man this show was the SHIT when I was in high school. It jus tso happens to be an episode about growing up. Man, I hate being an adult. But while I do hate being an adult, I also feel like its better than being in high school.
Yeah I have to pay bills and take care of my dog. But at least I dont have to get permission to go anywhere or do anything. And I can buy the goofy things I want, like poptarts, cereals of every type, and tons and tons of my favorite toilet paper!

Speaking of toilet paper, I think I shall excuse myself!

Onion Breath...

I have onion breath. UGH. I love onions, I hate the everlasting taste of UGH.

Neway... Our trip is coming to an end and I have to admit I am ready for the next semester to start. I am working on some very interesting projects this year. I am just keeping my fingers crossed that everything works out with our living arrangments.

Wedding planning is all coming together. We just have a few last things to hammer out!

I got to hang out with most of my friends while here. There are of course some I have yet to see. I wish I could afford to fly and see all the people I miss, but alas we are now both students, I dont expect there to be that much extra cash lying around!

Texas My Texas

So we have been her for a week now! I am so glad to be home! I have done lots of the things on my wedding list. We checked out the reception space. I am less worried about space now. We also looked at linens. Man is that SHIT expensive!? We are going to comparison shop around the metroplex for a better deal. I just cant imagine spending the same amount on my dress(oh yeah we bought the dress) and the linens!

More tomorrow... too tired to finish this sente

Going Home!

Our plans for our "vaca" are coming together. Chris' last day at work is August 5th. So we should be able to leave out on the 6th. We are planning to spend the first weekend with his mother and stepfather. Then spend the next week or so between my mother and father... and our friends! I really want to get my hair trimmed while we are there, and a color would be nice! But we will see if I have any extra cash. I am meeting with a friend of my mothers to discuss bridal showers. I was trying to pick a fun theme, cause they all love themes!

I am just ready to be in Texas, I miss it so much!

Things that I look forward to:(lots of them are food)
Whataburger
GOOOD mexican food
Jack in the BOX
Texas BBQ
One of my dad's steaks
Seeing my family
Being with friends whom we miss terribly
Central Market
World Market
Mrs. Bairds Bread
Planning a shower
Showing off my ring!
Kiss some babies
See a show at Tarleton!
Hand out Save The Dates!
Make a wedding Budget!

The list does go on... but alas, I need to go let the dog out and eat some lunch!

Blahdifrinkinda

I am bored! I love that my theatre schedule has changed, but I feel very bored with my daytime schedule. I have been kicking around the idea of building a doll house and starting to play with that on the side. Right now we have very little room for it. I have found a few plans that I like, I haven't decided between a castle or a Tudor style mansion! I do know that each room will have its own theme. I want it to be super kitchy and super awesome. Something to the tune of what Pheobe built in that one episode of friends! You know with a room made of candy and an insence room and a slide instead of stairs!
Tomorrow we are finally unpacking our spare bedroom and getting it all set. I can't wait to not have a room filled with boxes! I hope this opens up some space for the potentialy large doll house! I just want something that gives me a break from everything else!

Good Morning!

Angilina and Brad had their twins! I love their names! A boy, Knox Leon, and a girl, Vivienne Marcheline obviously inspired by their birth place of France.

In light of these recent events I would like to list names I have thought of but since rejected and the reasoning for such rejections.

Girls-
Ciaro- Great name, but would be misspronounced all the time... oh the possible association with egyptian terrorists
Candida- Again awesome sounding name but poor thing would be named after a yeast infection, to bad Shaw didnt do his research!

Boys-
Master- Love the sound of it, even if it is a little on the gangsta side!
Corky- Yes he would be doomed by Life Goes On!
Justice- Good strong name, even if the kid does end up Blind

Twins-
Romulous and Remus... are there any better names for twins?
Peas and Carrots- Forrest would be proud
Penelope and Buttercup- I think buttercup would resent penelope for the rest of their lives!

Well Today is a matinee of Candida( gross gross gross)! I will be doing hair 12:30 to 2ish. I have really enjoyed doing hair this summer. Although I am not properly represented in the program! Whateves right!

adios from the HUB city

Summer Theatre

So the summer has been great! I have loved working in the costume shop. There has been very little stress or annoyances. I have been allowed to build many garments and I even draped and patterned a few things here and there!

Wedding planning has sort of hit a stand still. I finally picked bridesmaids dresses! That is pretty exciting. Oh and I have decided to build a coat of sorts for myself! Now I just have to save enough money to buy the 10bucks a yard fabric to build it!

I have found a fabulous site to buy silk from. I am intending to build sashes for my bridesmaids and for my nonflower girl cousin who is handing out programs. I think I am going to make all the sashes a deep pink color!

Thats all for now!

We're Home!

And by home, I mean Mississippi! UGH. We had a good visit in Texas. It was super busy, every day was really booked, So I am sorry to anyone we didn't get to see.

We are moving this weekend! We have rented a new place with three of our(chris's) closest new friends here in Hattiesburg. Its a big five bedroom two and a half bath. We are going to have two bedrooms and our own bathroom. Which is really the same amount of space we have now, but it will be SOOO much cheaper for us. We can both go to school and SAVE some dough!

Lucy got spayed this weekend. She is super tired. I sure hope she doesn't lose her spunk!
:( Maybe this is just an adjustment period. I am worried about how she is going to handle this. Any suggestions are very welcomed!

We ordered Save the Dates. They are really cute! We should have them in the mail sometime in May. I still need to get alot of addresses together.

I am starting to feel homesick again. Luckily we will be making a trip home the first weekend in May. I am so glad! I need my dose of Texas! And a dose of my FRIENDS!

We had a surprise visit from our Landlord's sister today! Holy Shit! Our place was not clean at all! I was so so embarrased... I took the dog for a walk because I just couldn't face it. Chris assures me it wasn't as messy as I thought. They didn't say anything about the place.

I am super glad today is OVER!

Sunday, April 13, 2008

Easy like Sunday morning.

Well, its sunday the somethingth of April. I only have a few weeks left in my first semester of grad school. They just recently changed my acceptance status. I am no longer under temporary acceptance. I am a full student! That means I get to keep going to school. Isnt that exciting! I got a position for the summer. I will be working on the summer season here at USM. I didn't get a design for the summer, which is a huge bummer. I just can't believe the passed me over like that! Whatev
I will be getting some time off in May. Starting with Jeff's graduation on May 10th.

I can't wait to see everyone!
I finally filed my taxes! Now I just have to write a 7-10 page paper in a little over a week! UGH!

We think Lucy may be "with child". She has gained some weight. So I guess we may or may not have grandpuppies in a month or so! Who wants a Maybe puppy?

Monday, March 24, 2008

I have been having really bad dreams about wedding dresses and bridesmaids dresses. I just can't seem to feel at ease about the dresses, perhaps we will all just wear jeans.

UGH

Today was very succesful!

We booked our site! That means we have a date! December 20th 2008! Save the date kids!

We also booked our caterer. I am super excited about the food and I very much look forward to it!

we did not however find a reception site large enough for our reception. At least now we know our timeline. We really need to get things going.

It has been a pretty good day, but now I am really tired again.

Tuesday, March 11, 2008

Oh Wow!

Ok so I had no idea anyone was reading this!

So on with it... an update...

I am in Texas for the next four days. I had a fun filled day of dress shopping. I am so so so tired. I was so glad to have some good mexican food. I have also had my whataburger booster. I will be having some good Texas bbq tomorrow.

I sure wish this was all more relaxing. Why can't wedding planning involve spas, massages, and long naps? Well my planning will. I intend to nap regularly! I will get a massage before this whole thing is over.

My plan for bridesmaids dresses are totally off. The colors did not look the same in the store. I have a pretty good idea which dress I will be getting. I just need to go back with more bridesmaids and have their imput.

I applied for the summer season of USM. I should here back from them next week. It pays better than my previous summer stock and I get to stay in my house and with my puppy.

I promise to keep up with this better!

SNOW DAY IN SOUTHERN MISS.

Snow day!
We woke up this morning to a tiny amount of snow, enough to make Lucy go CRAZY! She loves the snow, she loves to eat it, and roll in it and catch snow balls.

Enjoy some pictures of the snow!

Grad School

Today was my first day of grad school. Oh man, I feel really behind. I am taking a class called Contemporary Trends in Theatre. I have not been keeping up with current theatre. I have not read as many plays as my contemporaries. I feel very self conscious in this class. I hope to catch up fast.
I only had one class today and I think I am really going to enjoy it, even if I feel like I need to catch up. I am just so glad to be back in a classroom.
The best part of going to grad school is that they are paying me to go to school. Not only have they payed all of my tuition and fees and... get this... I get a stipend. Twice a month.
Lucy is feeling better. She has finished her prescription food and she has started to play more. We were really nervous there for a while. We are so glad our "baby" is feeling better.
The wedding planning is off to slow start. We have just about settled on a budget. We are going to go open a savings account this weekend.
So far we have a season, attendants, and cake baker! Only 400 other things to do/plan!

We're Engaged!

Chris Popped the question on Jan. 3rd. In typical Bailey and Chris fashion.
This ring is beautiful. It is a large dark purple amethyst with eight diamonds down the band on each side. I would love to post a picture, but I can't figure out my digital camera.
We are planning a medium to large size wedding for the Summer of 2009. We haven't nailed down a date yet. We are trying to find a location first. As soon as we have a date I hope to send out save the dates.
I do not intend to have the typical, run of the mill wedding. I have been using a site which fits me perfectly. Offbeatbride.com. It is very interesting. I don't intend to use all of the advice from the site, but alot of it comes in very handy.
We have five attendants each. I am having a brides man and Chris is having a grooms lady. He He he!

More later!

Welcome All

I have created this blog so that you can all keep up with me. I promise this will be a family friendly pg to pg 13 blog.

Just a brief update.
Chris and I spent Christmas in Texas. We were both very excited to be in our "homeland." We spent the entire two weeks going from place to place. I need a vacation from our vacation.

I am, in fact, starting grad school. I should be receiving all of the paper work this weekend. I am really excited to be doing something. I will have an assistantship. This means my tuition will be payed for and I will receive a monthly stipend. I am so relieved to be done with substitute teaching.

Chris is looking at the grad program as well. They will have an opening in the lighting program starting in the fall. We are trying to push the numbers to see if it would be financially possible.

Our puppy, Lucy, stayed with her "grandparents" Chris's mom and step dad. On Christmas morning we received a very sad phone call. Lucy had run away. I was so worried that she had become some one's Christmas present. It was a really hard day. I couldn't help but feel like we would never see her again. Late on the 26Th, they called again to tell us she had been located. A local shelter had a dog fitting her description. Thankfully it was her. They took such good care of her. She was bathed, clipped, and micro chipped. We are so glad our "baby" is safe and sound.

We are headed back to Mississippi on Thursday. Every time we make the trip it seems to take longer and longer. It is a SIGN!!!
